Marquee help

The first step for a truly memorable event

Help choosing the right marquee

When looking for a Marquee please not the following as it will assist the hire company greatly in providing you with a total cost:

  • Try to have the total guest numbers available - we all know that there will be some additions and deletions before the event.

Two good rules of thumb are:

  • For a buffet event: a minimum of 8 square feet per person.
  • For a seated event: a minimum of 15 square feet per person.

Then, add in space for dance floors, catering tables, music centres etc. This will give you a rough idea of your space requirements.

Here's a few more top tips:

1. When first thinking of booking a Marquee for your next special occasion try not to go on price alone. LOW PRICE DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN BETTER SERVICE.

2. Wherever possible, go and view a Marquee from the company you will be hiring from. The last thing you want is your day to be ruined because the Marquee looks old and dirty.

3. Do not take the first quote offered. It is worth considering looking at several companies before committing a deposit for hire.

4. Read carefully ALL the terms and conditions of each company's contract and ensure you are totally satisfied.

5. Enjoy your day!
